Candle Care
Candle care is a must to ensure safety and extend the life of your candle. Follow the guidelines outlined below:
- For the first burn, the melt pool should reach the edges and be approximately 1/2 inch deep.
- Do not burn your candle for longer than 4 hours. To preserve the life of your candle, a 3 hour burn time is recommended.
- Always burn your candle on a level heat resistant surface.
- Never burn your candle unattended.
- Use caution when lit and monitor small children and pets for safety.
- Keep away from drafts and loose materials while burning.
- Allow the candle to cool after burning before moving, handling or trimming the wick.
- Trim your wick! Wick height should be 1/8 inch for wooden and tube wicks, 1/4 inch for cotton wicks.
- If the flame is dancing or too high, blow it out, trim your wick, and re-light.
- Discontinue use of your candle when there is 1/2 inch of wax left.
Remember, safety first when burning a candle!
